In lecture hall 4.001 on the 4th floor at Höninger Weg 100/Pohligstr.3 - Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology - there was an overview of the activities and projects supported by the KPA. 12 project leaders each reported briefly on what they are planning and what results have already been achieved, from extreme weather events in the Alps to the digitization of the GeoMuseum's geological teaching collection and the analysis of the quality of research software. This was followed by an interesting and informative panel discussion on the topic of research data management with the help of Jasmin Schenk and Andreas Mühlichen from the C³RDM department at the UoC. We had invited a number of users from various institutes to report on their experiences. At the concluding lunch, the participants, scientists from the Institutes of Geology & Mineralogy, Geography, Geophysics & Meteorology, Computer Science and Mathematics, were able to exchange ideas further.
