KPA imfess supports 12 projects that are completed or still running (see https://imfess.uni-koeln.de/en/research/projects-supported-by-kpa-imfess). Now we again call for ideas to get everybody engaged.
Everybody means from the 5 instituts belonging to the KPA imfess:
- Institute of Computer Science
- Institute of Geograhy
- Institute of Geology and Mineralogy
- Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology
- Institute of Mathematics
With your proposal you can apply for funding for activities which bring different scientists together:
- seed funding for projects to initiate and establish new intelligent methods to explore the earth system or new scientific cooperation between these different institutes
- workshops on specific topics
- guest scientists (Global Faculty)
- projects concerning transfer, sustainability
For 2025 a total budget of about 50k€ + 40k€ for guest scientist (Global Faculty) is available.
