Remko Uijlenhoet is Professor of Hydrology & Water Resources in the Department of Water Management at Delft University of Technology. Before joining TU Delft (on November 1st, 2020), he was Professor and Chair of the Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management Group at Wageningen University & Research. He holds BSc, MSc (1990) and PhD (1999) degrees from Wageningen University.

Research interests:

  • Measurement and parameterization of the space-time variability of rainfall using ground-based remote sensing techniques
  • Development of opportunistic sensing
  • Application of microwave links from cellular communication networks for rainfall monitoring
